Why This Meditation Series, Why Now?

Greetings everyone,

There is a strong collective energy around hope as we enter a new year - you may be feeling it too. But there's something important we need to look at here: the moment hope becomes expectation, it creates a holding pattern in our energy field, a kind of suspended animation where we're waiting for life to match our pictures of how it 'should' be.

This is significant because this waiting energy has a frequency to it - a frequency that actually holds us back from connecting with our deeper power.

The Heart of Our Practice Together

Through our expectations we tend to play very clever games with ourselves, keeping us always one step removed from our genuine inner experience. The mind says, "Let's wait until conditions are better. Let’s wait until we are better." But consciousness says, "The power is here, now, in this breath.

Here's what we need to understand: The mind is designed to plan for tomorrow, but consciousness lives in the now.

Our Path Inward: What We'll Explore

We’re at a critical point in our collective evolution where this understanding isn't just helpful — it's essential.

‘Going within’ is the fundamental pathway to consciousness. 

However: Often we approach ‘going within’ it with the same mind that creates our stress. We bring our expectations, our judgments, our entire framework of who we think we are.

Moving Beyond the Mind: Our Weekly Practice

What happens is this: The mind jumps in with its clipboard and checklist, ready to grade our inner experience. "Am I doing this right? Should I be feeling more peaceful? Why isn't this working for me?" This very tendency to judge and evaluate your inner experience is precisely what keeps you skimming the surface of your own depth. Our minds will always look for signs that we are doing it ‘right’ - which is a very subtle way of projecting our power outwards.

Rediscovering Your Natural Power: A Shared Journey

When we project our power into expectations we hold, we're literally dispersing our life force energy. It's like having a magnificent instrument but never turning it on.

What We'll Practice Together

Here's what's fascinating: The very energy that powers our doubt is the same energy that can fuel our awakening. It's all about how we direct it. 

When we're waiting for external circumstances to change, we're directing our life force into a fantasy.

When we turn  our attention inward, with the breath as our anchor, we activate a different dimension of our being.

Breath and subtle body awareness are powerful medicine — sophisticated tools that support our minds to soften their grip on life and connect us directly with the life force; radically present to the power that's already here.
